Leona, the Pug and her BFFs Mavis and Marta the Dachshunds, have always lived together until recently when their owner passed away. Since then they were taken in by a family member who didn't want them, and then given to her groomer who was unable to find good homes. Now they are on the Rescue Railroad and hopefully on track to finding a perfect forever-after story for all 3 beautiful girls!
Leona is probably the eldest at 7-8 yrs. She is missing a few teeth on the bottom so her tongue tends to hang out a little bit.
Mavis is the smaller of the 2 doxys and has a little gray on her muzzle- we think she is @ 5. She is by far the most social and curious of the 2. Mavis ( the upside down one!) is the youngest at @ 3 years.
All the girls have wonderful temperaments and are well socialized. We would love to keep them all together, or at least Marta and Mavis and we are open to discussing adoption fees for someone with a big enough heart for 2 or 3 of these classy ladies!
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.
All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
