Finnigan is a pure-bred IRISH Jack Russell Terrier- they are smaller, shorter and more compact than the standard Parsons JRT. He was bred back east and purchased by someone in Ca who is no longer able to care for him. Finn is totally true to the breed personality standard. He is VERY high energy, very alpha and absolutely LOVES people! He will be fine with another dog as long as the other dog is bigger and can tell him no. If you have not had experience with JRTs please do a lot of research before considering adopting one. We will probably require that his new people sign him up for a training class; it's a great bonding oportunity and will help establish leadership in your relationship. THis is one of the smartest dog breeds- he will need frequent exercise and mental stimulation..

Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued form local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.

All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster home, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
